Keep your guests warm and toasty (or toasted) at your winter wedding reception with some warm cocktails!  These are sure to please a crowd and will also create some fantastic and cozy smells, bonus!

Winter Rum Punch

A classic and pretty drink, sure to warm you guests from the inside out!  Check out our glass mugs for serving!

Ingredients
  • 6 oranges
  • cloves
  • 1 bottle rum
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 gallon sweet apple cider
Instructions
  1. Stud oranges with cloves and bake until soft
  2. In a large saucepan, set fire to the rum! After a few minutes, slowly add the cider. The cider will extinguish the flame
  3. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg
  4. Enjoy warm!

Mulled Wine Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 star anise
  • 8-10 cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried ginger
  • 2/3 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup soft brown sugar
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 bottle(750 mL) mulled wine
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • orange slices for decoration
Instructions
  1. Add cocoa powder, cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves, ginger and chocolate chips to a large saucepan
  2. Heat on medium heat, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved. Then turn down the heat and simmer for 10 minutes
  3. Pour in mulled wine and heat gently for a minute or two (do not boil). Turn off heat.
  4. Pour into cups and top with cranberries and orange slices

Mulled Cranberry Apple Cider

A non-alcoholic cocktail that includes ingredients also found in the other drinks!  A fun drink for your designated drivers and non-drinkers is always a great idea

Ingredients
  • 4 cups apple cider or apple juice
  • 4 cups cranberry juice or cranberry cocktail
  • peel of 1 orange, cut into large strips
  • 1 inch piece of giger, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole allspice berries
  • 4 whole cloves
  • optional sweeteners: honey, brown sugar
  • optional garnish: cinnamon sticks, fresh cranberries
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients into a large pot and bring to a boil
  2. Reduce heat and simmer partially covered for 30 minutes
  3. Strain and serve warm!
